Important things to learn before we learn the pronouns

Pronouns in arabic are suffixes and are always attached to a verb


There are somethings to learn before we dive into the Topic. It is that, there are some indicators to determine the gender and number of the object doing the verb. We can say it by its ending

Navigation:

S - Singular
P - Plural
M - Male
F - Female
D - Dual
Note: Dual includes both MD (Male Dual) and FD (Female Dual)


Endings

SM - Has a Random Ending

Eg: تلعب has the random ending ب

SF - Ends with ين

Eg: تكتبين has the ending ين

D - Ends with ان

Eg: تنامان has the ending ان

PM - Ends with ون

Eg: تمشون  has the ending ون

PF - Ends with ن

Eg: تطبخن has the ending ن



ضمائر المتكلم        First Person 

It means the pronoun is in First Person

It has 2 words only:  

 أنا (I)

  نحن (We)

Indicators

If the verbs:

Start with أ ⇒ Use pronoun أنا

Start with ن ⇒ Use pronoun نحن


ضمائر المخاتب     Second Person

It means the pronoun is in Second Person

It has 5 words, all means 'You':

أنتَ (SM)

أنتِ (SF)

أنتما (D)

أنتُم (PM)

أنتُنَّ (PF)


Indicators

If the verbs start with the letter 'ت', It means that the pronoun must be 2nd Person (Use the the above mentioned 'Ending Indicators' to choose the correct pronoun)


ضمائر الغائب    Third Person

It means the pronoun is in Third Person

It has 5 words:

(He) هو (SM)

(She) هي  (SF)

(They) هما (D)

(They) هم (PM)

(They) هنَّ (PF)


Indicators

If the verbs start with the letter 'ي ', It means that the pronoun must be 3rd Person (Use the the above mentioned 'Ending Indicators' to choose the correct pronoun)
